Integrating Fibaro RGBW Controllers with SmartThings: A User's Journey

I’ve been absolutely thrilled with my recent setup using Google Home alongside SmartThings. It’s made managing my smart home so much easier, and I’ve really enjoyed exploring all the possibilities it offers. One area where I’ve hit a bit of a snag, though, is with my Fibaro RGBW Controllers. I’ve got a few of these, including multiple Fibaro RGBW Controllers and an Aeon RGBW Light Bulb, and I’m trying to get them to work seamlessly with my SmartThings setup.

Here’s the thing: while my non-RGB(W) lights work perfectly with my automations—turning on, dimming, and everything else—the RGBW lights just don’t seem to respond. They don’t turn on, they don’t dim, and they don’t change colors. It’s perplexing because they’re on the same automation as the other lights that are working fine. I’ve tried a few workarounds I found in the community, like setting up Simulated Switches and using IFTTT to trigger routines, but nothing’s quite clicked yet.

I’m wondering if this is a known issue or if I’m missing something in my setup. Is there a specific SmartApp or configuration that could help me achieve the same functionality with my RGBW lights? I’d love to hear from anyone who’s successfully integrated Fibaro RGBW Controllers with SmartThings. Your insights could be a game-changer for me!

On a lighter note, I’ve been really impressed with how Google Home has streamlined my smart home experience, even with its limited services. It’s just a shame that these little hiccups with specific devices are holding me back from fully realizing my smart home vision. Fingers crossed, we can crack this together!
