Hello fellow Home Automation enthusiasts, I have a question regarding the integration of a fingerprint sensor with my existing Homematic setup. I currently use the Homematic 1-Channel Switch Actuator in a compact housing (HM-LC-Sw1-DR) to control my door opener. This setup works perfectly with the Homematic radio wall sender (HM-PB-6-WM55) and is integrated into my Smart Home system. However, I am looking to enhance security by adding a fingerprint sensor at the entrance, eliminating the need to give my children physical keys.
I would like to know if there is a suitable fingerprint sensor available that can be used outdoors to achieve this. The goal is to create a seamless entry system where authorized individuals can gain access through either the fingerprint sensor or the existing keypad.
I have done some preliminary research and found a few options, but I am unsure about their compatibility with my current Homematic system. I would appreciate any recommendations or experiences you have had with similar setups. Your insights would be invaluable as I work towards creating a more secure and convenient entry system for my home.
