Hi everyone! I wanted to share my experience with integrating the FortrezZ Mimo2+ device with my Hubitat setup. It’s been a bit of a journey, but I’m happy to say I’ve got it working smoothly now!
Initially, I was excited to set up the Mimo2+ because it promised to handle both relays and contacts, which I needed for controlling water valves. The device was discovered without any issues, and the built-in DTH created the necessary child devices for the relays and contacts. The relays worked perfectly right from the start, which was great!
However, I ran into a problem with the contact sensors. While the sig1 and sig2 lights on the device indicated that the contacts were changing state, Hubitat wasn’t reflecting these changes. This was frustrating because it meant I couldn’t rely on the contacts to provide accurate status updates. I tried everything from checking the device configuration to ensuring the Hubitat firmware was up to date, but nothing seemed to work.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I found that others had experienced similar issues. It turned out to be a matter of how the device was configured within Hubitat. By tweaking the settings and ensuring the contacts were properly linked to the relays, I managed to get the contacts working as expected.
Now, the Mimo2+ is seamlessly integrated into my smart home setup. The contacts provide real-time updates on the valve statuses, which is crucial for my automation routines. It’s a relief to have everything working as intended, and I’m glad I persisted in troubleshooting the issue.
If anyone else is having trouble with their FortrezZ Mimo2+ device, I’d recommend checking your device settings and reaching out to the community for support. Sometimes a fresh perspective can make all the difference!
