Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with the gCalendar Driver I recently installed on my Hubitat setup. It’s been a game-changer for keeping track of my busy schedule right from my dashboard!
Setup Process:
I must admit, I was a bit nervous about setting it up, but it turned out to be surprisingly straightforward. I followed the instructions to create a virtual device and select the ‘gCalendar Driver’ type. The most crucial part was finding the embed code from my Google Calendar settings. Once I pasted that into the device preferences, everything fell into place!
Features I Love:
- Clickable Links: This is a huge plus! All the events in my calendar have clickable links, which makes it super easy to jump directly to my Google Calendar for more details.
- Automatic Updates: The calendar updates every hour, so I never have to worry about missing the latest changes.
Tips for Others:
If you’re using Smartly for dashboard styling, don’t forget to add this CSS snippet to ensure the calendar tile displays correctly:
