I’ve also been working on setting up a dimmer with my Vera, and I noticed that the dimmer remembers the last setting, which is pretty cool. I have a 3-way switch setup, and I want the dimmer to remember the 50% level without turning it on or off. I tried using some scenes with Luup commands, but it doesn’t seem to work. Any tips on how to achieve this would be great. I want the Vera to set the dimming level automatically without any manual intervention.
Another thing I’m curious about is how to set a default dimming level using Vera without turning the light on or off. I have a scene where I want the dimmer to start at 50%, but I can’t figure out how to do that without using the dashboard manually. I tried using Luup commands, but it doesn’t seem to remember the setting. Maybe there’s a parameter I need to adjust or a different approach altogether.
I also have a Shelly Dimmer 2 that I want to connect, and I’m wondering if I can use one of the L terminals to pass through the phase to the next switch. I want to control two different lights separately, so I need to make sure the wiring is correct. I’m not entirely sure how to set this up, so any advice would be really helpful.
Lastly, I’m trying to set up an automation where the dimmer returns to the previous setting after reaching 100%. I have a scene that tries to set it back to 50%, but it doesn’t work as expected. I’m not sure if I’m using the right commands or if there’s a better way to achieve this. I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully done something similar.
