Integrating Hero Labs Sonic Water Valve with Homey

Hi everyone, I’ve been testing the Hero Labs Sonic water valve for the past couple of years and it’s been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The Sonic valve is designed to detect even the smallest leaks in your plumbing system, which is incredibly useful for protecting your home from water damage. It’s user-friendly and works seamlessly with my existing smart home ecosystem.

I recently came across a GitHub integration for Home Assistant that allows for better control of the Sonic valve. It’s pretty impressive how it can detect leaks and even close the valve automatically if needed. I’m curious to know if anyone has successfully integrated this valve with Homey. I’ve heard that Homey has a robust API system, so I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a custom integration or use existing APIs to control the valve’s basic functions, like opening and closing it manually.

For those who might be interested in trying this out, I’d love to hear about your experiences or any challenges you’ve faced. Whether you’ve managed to get it working smoothly or encountered any hurdles, sharing your journey could be really helpful for others looking to integrate this awesome device into their smart homes.

Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other out in making our homes smarter and safer! :ocean::house:
