I recently acquired an HM-Dis-WM55 smart waste bin sensor, and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for my household waste management. The sensor provides real-time updates on when my waste collection is scheduled, which has significantly reduced the hassle of keeping track manually. However, I wanted to take it a step further by integrating it with my HomeDroid system to have all my smart devices on one platform.
At first, the integration wasn’t straightforward. I spent quite some time researching and experimenting with different settings, but I finally found a workaround using IFTTT. Now, whenever the waste collection is nearing, my HomeDroid app sends me a gentle reminder, ensuring I never miss the pickup.
