Hi everyone, I’m currently trying to optimize my home’s climate control system and wanted to share my experiences and ask for advice. I’ve been using the HmIP Wandthermostat WTH-2 for heating, and it’s been working great with my Falmot system. However, I’m looking to integrate cooling into the mix, and I’m running into some challenges.
So far, I’ve set up the thermostat to trigger a contact switch for my air conditioning unit when the room temperature exceeds the desired setting. The direct connection works well for heating, but I’m struggling to get the cooling function to behave as expected. I’ve explored the thermostat settings and the program options, but there doesn’t seem to be an option to handle the cooling scenario effectively.
I’ve tried adjusting the settings to see if I can create a rule where the thermostat switches to cooling mode when the temperature rises above a certain threshold, but it doesn’t seem to be possible with the current setup. This is a bit frustrating because I’d love to have a seamless system without having to install a second thermostat just for cooling.
Has anyone here managed to set up a similar system using the HmIP Wandthermostat for both heating and cooling? Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated! I’m curious if there’s a way to tweak the settings or if there’s a third-party solution that could make this integration smoother.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences!
