Hi everyone,
I’ve been exploring the world of smart home integration lately, and I must say, it’s been an exciting journey! My setup includes a CCU3 with two gateways, which has been working perfectly for my three-story house. However, I’ve noticed that most of the new devices I come across are Homematic IP-based, and I want to integrate them seamlessly into my existing system.
I’ve heard that Homematic IP devices require their own gateways, especially when dealing with multiple floors. I stumbled upon a gateway online and was wondering if it’s compatible with CCU3. After some research and reaching out to the community, I found that yes, it is possible to add an extra gateway to my CCU3 setup. This means I can now easily connect my Homematic IP devices across all three floors without any issues!
It’s been a learning experience, but the support from the community has been invaluable. If anyone else is looking to integrate Homematic IP devices, I’d recommend checking out the forums for tips and compatibility guides. Happy integrating!
Best regards,
