Integrating Homematic IP Motion Sensors with CCU3 - Need Assistance!

Hey everyone, I’m reaching out to the community for some much-needed help with integrating my Homematic IP motion sensors. I’ve recently set up a CCU3 and managed to get several devices working seamlessly, including smart switches and dimmers. However, I’m hitting a snag with the motion sensors, specifically the HmIP-SMO and HmIP-SMO-2 models.

I’ve followed the standard pairing procedures, but unfortunately, the sensors aren’t being recognized by the CCU3. The process starts with the familiar blue-green blinking light, which suggests that the CCU3 is attempting to learn the device. However, despite multiple attempts, the sensors don’t show up as new devices in the system. I’ve tried restarting both the sensors and the CCU3, but that hasn’t resolved the issue.

To troubleshoot, I’ve ensured that the firmware on both the CCU3 and the sensors is up-to-date. I’ve also tested the sensors with a Homematic IP Access Point, where they function perfectly, indicating that the sensors themselves are in good working order. This makes me think the problem lies somewhere in the communication between the sensors and the CCU3.

I’ve read through some forums and guides, but I’m still not finding a clear solution. I’m wondering if there’s a specific setting or configuration within the CCU3 that I might be missing. Could there be an issue with the network setup or perhaps a compatibility problem with the firmware versions?

If anyone has successfully integrated HmIP-SMO or HmIP-SMO-2 sensors with a CCU3, I’d greatly appreciate any advice or steps you took to resolve similar issues. Your insights could be invaluable as I work to complete my smart home setup!

Thanks in advance for your help and support. I’m really looking forward to getting these motion sensors up and running to enhance my home automation system.
