Hi everyone, I’m really excited to dive into the world of smart home automation, and I’m hoping you can share some insights with me! I’ve been using Hubitat for a while now, and it’s been fantastic for managing my mix of Z-Wave, Zigbee, WeMo, and Hue devices. However, I’ve been eyeing the Honeywell Lyric Controller for its security features, and I want to integrate it seamlessly with my existing setup.
My goal is to have the Lyric Controller trigger certain actions in Hubitat. For instance, when the Lyric goes into alarm mode, I’d like specific lights and switches to turn on. Conversely, when the system is armed away, I’d love for certain devices to turn off automatically. I’ve heard the Lyric only supports Z-Wave, but I’m hoping to keep Hubitat as my primary automation hub while still leveraging the Lyric for security.
I’m also curious about best practices for setting this up. Does anyone have experience with similar integrations? Any tips or potential pitfalls I should be aware of? I’m planning to purchase the Lyric soon, so your advice would be invaluable as I prepare to set this up.
Looking forward to hearing from you all and learning more about how to make this integration work smoothly! ![]()
