Hey everyone, I wanted to share my experience integrating my new IKEA Trådfri Driver with Homey. It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m happy to say I’ve got it sorted out!
When I first paired the driver with my Homey, everything seemed to work smoothly. But then, after adding the IKEA button for the lights, the Homey app stopped responding. I tried resetting both the driver and the button multiple times, but nothing changed. It was frustrating to say the least.
After some research, I realized that the issue might be with how the devices were being paired. I decided to start fresh by completely removing the driver and button from Homey and resetting them. This time, I made sure to follow the pairing instructions carefully.
To my relief, it worked! The driver and button are now seamlessly integrated, and my lights respond perfectly. I even set up a simple automation where the lights dim when I press the button twice. It’s such a neat setup, and I love how customizable it is.
If anyone else is having trouble with their IKEA Trådfri setup, I’d recommend double-checking the pairing process and ensuring all devices are properly reset before trying again. It’s also worth checking the Homey documentation for any specific troubleshooting steps.
Overall, I’m really happy with how everything is working now. It’s been a great learning experience, and I’m excited to explore more automation possibilities with my IKEA Trådfri system!
