I’ve recently embarked on a journey to integrate my KNX devices into Home Assistant, and I must say, the experience has been quite seamless! My setup includes a variety of KNX sensors and actuators, and I’m thrilled to see how effortlessly they communicate with HA.
One of the highlights has been configuring my KNX thermostats. I was initially concerned about compatibility, but the built-in KNX integration in HA made it a breeze. I simply followed the documentation, set up the necessary entities, and voilà—real-time temperature adjustments and status updates right from my dashboard!
I also wanted to share a handy tip for anyone looking to display dynamic text from KNX devices in their dashboards. By using Node-RED to process the KNX data and then pushing it to HA via MQTT, I’ve been able to create a truly interactive and informative interface. It’s a great way to keep all your KNX-related information in one place without cluttering your setup.
