Integrating KNX Gas Meter and Enhancing Alexa Skills

Smart home automation has truly transformed my daily life, making routines seamless and energy management more efficient. I recently embarked on a project to integrate my KNX gas meter into Home Assistant, aiming to monitor gas consumption more effectively. While I’ve successfully set up the KNX gas state and created template sensors for consumption tracking, I’m curious about how to incorporate this data into the energy dashboard for a more comprehensive overview. If anyone has insights or tips on this, I’d greatly appreciate the guidance!

Another area I’ve been exploring is enhancing Alexa skills for my smart home devices. I’ve managed to set up a virtual switch for my Harmony activities, allowing me to trigger specific routines with voice commands. However, I’m now looking to take it a step further by creating sequences that run multiple activities consecutively. For instance, I’d love to tell Alexa to “Turn On Commercial Skip,” which would activate my Commercial Skip activity and then switch back to my Watch TV activity seamlessly. I’ve tried grouping activities under a single virtual switch, but it only triggers the first one. Any suggestions on how to achieve this would be fantastic!

On a lighter note, I’ve also been experimenting with customizing my Home Assistant dashboard, particularly font sizes. It’s amazing how a small tweak can make the interface more visually appealing and user-friendly. I’d love to hear how others have personalized their dashboards or resolved any quirks they’ve encountered.

Thanks to everyone in the community for the wealth of knowledge and support. It’s inspiring to see how we can collectively enhance our smart home experiences!
