I recently decided to upgrade my home lighting system by integrating my Leviton D26HD dimmers with Home Assistant. Initially, I was a bit concerned about compatibility, especially since I have four dimmers installed throughout my home. To my delight, the integration process was smoother than I anticipated!
After setting up the Home Assistant configuration with the Leviton integration, I noticed that only one of the four dimmers appeared in the system. This was a bit puzzling, but I quickly found a solution by troubleshooting the network settings and ensuring all dimmers were on the same WLAN as my HA server. Deleting and re-adding the HomeKit integration helped auto-discover the missing dimmers, and now all of them are seamlessly integrated!
One feature I particularly enjoy is the ability to control these dimmers through the My Leviton app as well as Home Assistant. It’s fantastic to have this level of flexibility and control. I also appreciate how the integration allows for custom scenes and automations, enhancing my home’s smart lighting experience.
For anyone looking to integrate Leviton dimmers with Home Assistant, I’d recommend carefully checking network settings and ensuring all devices are properly configured. The process might seem daunting at first, but with a bit of patience, it’s very manageable. The end result is well worth the effort—consistent, reliable, and user-friendly smart lighting control!
