Integrating Mitsubishi Roof Panels with Home Assistant for Smart Climate Control

I’ve been working on a really cool project to integrate my Mitsubishi roof panels into Home Assistant, and I thought I’d share my journey with you all. My goal was to control the heating and cooling of my home through my phone, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!

The challenge was figuring out how to transition from using a physical remote control to a fully automated system. After some research, I discovered that Home Assistant supports Mitsubishi HVAC systems through IR sensors. I decided to set up an IR sensor and configured it to work with my specific model, the PLFY-P20VFM-E1R1.TH.

Once the hardware was in place, I started creating automation rules in Home Assistant. I wanted the system to automatically switch between the radiator and AC based on solar energy production. For example, if there’s plenty of solar energy, the AC kicks in, but if the sun isn’t shining as much, the radiator takes over. It’s been a huge energy saver!

I’d love to hear from anyone else who’s tackled a similar project or has tips for optimizing HVAC automation. The Home Assistant community has been amazing, and I’m so grateful for all the resources and support available. If you’re looking to modernize your home’s climate control, I highly recommend giving Home Assistant a try—it’s been a game-changer for me!

Cheers to smarter, greener living! :seedling::sparkles:
