I’ve recently embarked on a journey to integrate various smart home devices from different brands into my ecosystem, and I must say, it’s been an enlightening experience! 
I started with a few Philips Hue lights and quickly realized the potential of expanding my setup. Now, I’ve got devices from brands like Shelly, Google Nest, and even some custom ESPHome gadgets. The key to making this work seamlessly has been ensuring all devices communicate on the same network and platform.
Here’s a quick tip for anyone looking to do the same: start small and gradually expand. This approach helps identify any compatibility issues early on. For instance, I initially struggled with getting my Shelly devices to work over WLAN consistently, but after adjusting some settings and ensuring a stable connection, everything fell into place.
