Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating multiple智能家居设备 from different brands into my home system. It’s been quite a journey, but I’m thrilled with the results!
I started with a legacy Z-Wave setup using a Raspberry Pi 4 and Hass.io. While it’s been reliable, I recently decided to expand by adding an Aeotec Door Sensor 7 and a Zooz ZEN16 Multirelay. These devices promised enhanced security and control, but the integration wasn’t straightforward.
Initially, I faced issues where the new devices were recognized in the Z-Wave configuration but didn’t create the necessary entities. After some research and reaching out to the community, I discovered that manually adding device definitions from the Open-ZWave repo was the solution. It was a bit technical, but with some guidance, I managed to get everything up and running smoothly.
One tip I’d like to share is to always check the device definitions and ensure they’re correctly parsed. Also, don’t hesitate to reach out to forums or communities for help—this place has been invaluable for me.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to explore more automation possibilities, especially with the Zooz Multirelay. The ability to control multiple relays with custom timers and configurations opens up endless possibilities for my home setup.
