I’ve been on a fascinating journey integrating various smart home devices, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and tips with the community.
Starting with my Cam Pan v3, I’ve found it incredibly useful for monitoring my driveway and porch. However, I ran into an issue where the camera kept detecting motion in areas I had set as grayed-out zones. After some research, I discovered that updating the app was the solution, and it worked perfectly!
Another challenge I faced was with my Philio PAN06 switch. I wanted to control a single load using two bistable switches. Initially, I struggled with configuring the inputs correctly, but after some trial and error, I managed to set it up so both switches work seamlessly together.
For those interested in Zigbee devices, I’ve been using a Bitron Video AV2010/10 stick for a few years now. It’s been reliable, but I recently encountered an issue with a vertical blind wand not rejoining the network after a reset. After reading through the OH Zigbee binding manual, I realized the firmware might need updating. I’m now considering whether to update the existing stick or invest in a newer model for better compatibility with Zigbee 3.0 devices.
