I recently embarked on a journey to integrate multiple smart devices into my home, and I must say, it’s been an enlightening experience! 
Let me share some of my insights and tips for anyone looking to do the same.
The Setup Challenge
One of the first hurdles I faced was setting up two C7 Hubs in a mostly Z-Wave environment. I have around 100-120 devices, including a mix of Zigbee devices and virtual buttons. Initially, I wondered if I should consolidate all devices on one hub and use the other for logic processing. After some research and experimentation, I found that distributing devices based on their communication protocols worked best. This approach not only streamlined the setup but also improved responsiveness.
Device Compatibility and Troubleshooting
Another interesting challenge was integrating a Govee Night Light into my ecosystem. The device is wireless, which is fantastic, but I encountered a few hiccups with initial setup. Thankfully, the community support was invaluable. I learned that ensuring the device is within range of the Zigbee dongle and following the manufacturer’s pairing instructions meticulously can save a lot of frustration.

Despite the challenges, the rewards of a well-integrated smart home are immense. From the convenience of controlling lights and cameras remotely to the peace of mind that comes with enhanced security, every device has its place. It’s truly amazing how technology can enhance our daily lives!
