Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent positive experience integrating Nest devices and setting up an automated lighting system in my closet. It’s been a journey, but the results are fantastic!
I recently installed a Nest Thermostat alongside my existing Nest Doorbell. While the doorbell integrated seamlessly with my Home Assistant setup, the thermostat was a bit of a puzzle at first. After some research and troubleshooting, I managed to get it working by following the official integration guide again, ensuring all steps were correctly followed. It’s great to have consistent temperature control now!
Another project I undertook was addressing the low lighting in my bedroom closet. I found a cost-effective solution using a contact sensor, an LED light strip, and an Alexa routine. Whenever the door opens, the lights automatically adjust to a comfortable brightness, making it much easier to find clothes in the morning. I’m really happy with how this simple setup improved my daily routine.
