Integrating Nest Hello and Alexa for Seamless Automation

I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my Nest Hello doorbell with my Google Home devices and Alexa for a more seamless smart home experience. When someone presses the Nest Hello doorbell, I receive a message on both my Google Home Hub and Google Home Mini. However, there’s a slight delay between the two devices. I’m curious if there’s a way to synchronize this so both devices receive the notification at the exact same time. Alternatively, maybe it’s better to have it only on the Hub to avoid redundancy.

Another feature I’d love to implement is using the doorbell press as a trigger for a flow. Unfortunately, Google hasn’t implemented this yet, but I’m hopeful it might come in future updates. If anyone has found a workaround or a clever way to achieve this, I’d love to hear about it!

On a different note, I’ve been trying to set up my cameras so that when motion is detected, Alexa automatically displays the camera feed on a tablet in my kitchen. This would be incredibly useful for monitoring the front door without constantly checking my phone. I’ve read that Amazon has introduced some new APIs for motion sensors, but I’m not sure how to leverage them for this specific use case. If anyone has successfully implemented something similar or has any tips, please share!

Overall, I’m really impressed with how much I can customize my smart home setup, but there’s always room for improvement. I’m excited to see what new features and integrations will become available in the future!
