Hello everyone, I wanted to share my experience with integrating the Nest Thermostat with Google, as I recently went through the process and thought it might be helpful for others.
I’ve been using Nest with Homey for a while now, and when I decided to synchronize all my devices with Google, I noticed something interesting. The Nest Thermostat appeared twice in my Google Home setup. At first, I was a bit confused and wondered if there was a way to prevent this duplication.
After some research and experimentation, I found that the duplication was a result of both Homey and Google independently recognizing the Nest device. However, I discovered that by adjusting the integration settings in Homey, I could control which devices synchronize with Google. This way, I avoided having duplicate entries and maintained a cleaner interface.
I would love to hear from others who have successfully integrated their Nest Thermostats with Google or other platforms. What tips or tricks have you found useful in managing your smart home integrations?
It’s fascinating how these devices work together, and I’m always eager to learn more about optimizing their performance. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
