Integrating Nest Thermostat with Shelly H&T Sensors: A Smooth Experience

I’ve been using Google’s Temperature Sensors with my Nest Thermostat for a while now, but I’ve always felt limited by their compatibility issues with Home Assistant. They work okay, but managing schedules and controlling the thermostat feels clunky. So, I decided to give the Shelly H&T sensors a try, and I’m thrilled with the results!

Initially, I was a bit nervous about integrating these sensors with my Nest Thermostat. I’m not a developer, so I wanted to keep things simple. This means I get the best of both worlds: the precision of the Shelly sensors and the convenience of the Nest thermostat’s interface.

The process was smoother than I expected. I used the Home Assistant GUI to set up the automations and integrations. There was a bit of trial and error, but the community was incredibly supportive. Now, my thermostat seamlessly switches between sensors, and I can control everything from the Home Assistant dashboard. It’s a huge improvement over my previous setup!
