I recently decided to integrate my Senic Nuimo click switches directly into Hassio after encountering some issues with my Senic bridge. While the process was a bit challenging at first, I managed to get everything working smoothly. Here’s my experience and some tips that might help others who are looking to do the same!
First, I added the USB 300 to my config, which worked like a charm. I used Dolphinview to read the IDs of my sensors, and I was able to successfully configure the switches in my Hassio setup. However, setting up automations for each button was a bit tricky at first. I kept getting debug messages that I wasn’t quite sure how to interpret.
After some trial and error, I figured out that the key was to correctly map the button presses to the appropriate events. I also discovered that using the correct ID format in the config was crucial. Once I got that sorted out, everything started working as expected!
Here’s a quick tip for anyone else trying to set this up: make sure you’re using the right event data format in your automations. I found that specifying the button presses with their respective IDs and states was the key to getting everything working smoothly.
Overall, I’m really happy with how this setup turned out. It’s been a great way to simplify my home automation setup and eliminate the need for the Senic bridge. If you’re considering doing something similar, I highly recommend giving it a try!
