Integrating Nuki Smart Lock with Ring Doorbell: A Smooth Experience

Hey everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating my Nuki Smart Lock with a Ring Doorbell. It’s been a journey, but I’m thrilled with how it turned out! :tada:

I’ve always loved the convenience of my Nuki lock, but I was missing that extra layer of security and awareness a doorbell provides. After some research, I decided to go with the Ring system—it’s known for reliability and seamless integration with smart home devices.

The setup wasn’t too complicated, but I did have a few questions along the way. For instance, I wasn’t sure about the best voltage to use for the connection. After some digging, I found that 12V was the sweet spot for my system. I also learned that connecting the Nuki opener directly to the Ring system without a separate bell was possible, which saved me some space and wiring hassle.

One thing I’d recommend is ensuring your existing wiring can handle the integration. I had to tweak a few connections, but once everything was set, it worked like a charm! Now, whenever someone rings the bell, my Nuki lock automatically unlocks if I’m nearby, thanks to the auto-unlock feature. It’s such a modern touch and adds a layer of convenience I never knew I needed.

I’d love to hear from others who’ve done similar integrations—what challenges did you face, and how did you overcome them? Any tips for someone just starting out would be amazing! :hugs:

Cheers to making our homes smarter and safer! :house_with_garden:
