Hey everyone, I’m diving into the world of smart home automation and I’m currently exploring how to integrate my Nuki smart lock with Shelly devices using OpenHAB. I’ve managed to set up both devices individually, but I’m struggling to get them to communicate effectively with each other.
I’ve installed the necessary OpenHAB add-ons for both Nuki and Shelly, but I’m not entirely sure how to bridge the gap between them. For instance, I’d love to have my Shelly i3 trigger specific actions based on the Nuki lock’s status—like turning on lights or adjusting the thermostat when the door is locked or unlocked.
Has anyone successfully integrated these devices before? Any tips or tutorials would be incredibly helpful. I’m also curious if there are any limitations or common issues others have encountered while trying to connect Nuki and Shelly devices within OpenHAB.
