As a proud owner of the new Philips OLED65 2024 TV, I’ve been exploring how to integrate it seamlessly into my existing smart home ecosystem. The TV runs on Google Assistant, which I find incredibly intuitive, but I’ve encountered a few bumps along the way, especially with the Ambilight feature. I wanted to share my journey and hopefully gather some insights from the community.
First, I tried adding the TV to my Google Home app. It was a breeze, but the real challenge came with controlling the Ambilight through my smart devices. I’ve heard that some users have successfully programmed their Harmony Hub to handle Ambilight, but I couldn’t get it to work. The TV consistently showed as unreachable in the devices list, which was quite frustrating.
After some research, I discovered that a stable internet connection and the latest firmware are crucial for Ambilight to function properly. I updated the TV’s firmware and ensured that all my devices were on the same network. To my delight, the Ambilight started responding more reliably!
I also found that using the Philips Hue app alongside Google Assistant provided a smoother experience. By setting up custom scenes, I can now control the Ambilight with voice commands, which is a huge convenience. It’s amazing how a little troubleshooting and the right apps can make such a difference.
If anyone else is struggling with Ambilight integration, I’d love to hear your tips or tricks. Let’s continue to explore and optimize our smart home setups together!
