Integrating Philips Hue with KNX Switches: Overriding State Issue

Hello everyone, I’m currently working on integrating my Philips Hue lights with KNX switches, and I’ve encountered an interesting challenge that I’d love to get some help with. Let me walk you through my setup and the issue I’m facing.

I have a Hue bulb controlled by a KNX switch, and while the integration itself works smoothly, there’s an unexpected behavior when using the Philips Hue app. Here’s what happens: if I set the light to ON via the Hue app, but the KNX wall switch is OFF, the Hue bulb turns OFF after about 6 minutes. The same issue occurs in the opposite scenario—turning the light ON via the wall switch and then OFF via the Hue app results in the light turning back ON after 6 minutes.

I’ve tried adjusting the ping interval to 0 in the Hue configuration, but the 6-minute override interval seems to be coming from somewhere else. I’m using MDT glass switches (version I), which don’t have an option to resend the state periodically. This means the KNX bus is still sending the OFF state every 6 minutes, overriding the Hue app’s settings.

I’m curious if anyone has encountered this issue before and if there’s a way to prevent the KNX bus from overriding the Hue app’s state. Perhaps there’s a configuration setting in OpenHAB or a workaround within the Hue setup that I’m missing. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance for your help!
