Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating Philips Hue bulbs into my Home Assistant setup using the ZHA component. It’s been a journey of learning and problem-solving, and I’m thrilled to say it’s finally working perfectly!
I started by setting up the Conbee II radio module on my Linux server. The initial setup went smoothly, and I was able to add the ZHA component through the frontend. However, I encountered a hiccup when none of the Philips Hue bulbs showed up in the services tab. I retried the factory reset on the bulbs, scanned again, and double-checked the Conbee II connection, but nothing seemed to work at first.
After some research and reaching out to the community, I realized that sometimes a fresh start helps. I decided to perform a factory reset on the Conbee II module itself and started the pairing process again. This time, the bulbs appeared without any issues! It was such a relief to see them show up in the services tab and function as expected.
This experience taught me the importance of patience and thorough troubleshooting. I’m grateful to the community for their support and resources. Now, with my Hue bulbs fully integrated, I can enjoy seamless automation and lighting control in my home. It’s amazing how these little adjustments can make such a big difference in the functionality of my smart home setup.
If anyone else is facing similar issues, don’t hesitate to ask for help. The community is always here to assist, and sometimes a fresh perspective or a simple reset can solve the problem!
Happy automating everyone! ![]()
