Hello everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent experiences with integrating my Pylontech battery and Onvif camera into Home Assistant. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but I’m making progress!
First, let me talk about the Pylontech battery integration. I’ve been using MQTT to connect my battery to HA, but I’m struggling with getting the values to show up correctly. I’ve tried using HACS repositories and creating a JSON file, but I’m not quite there yet. If anyone has successfully integrated their Pylontech battery, I’d love to hear your tips or tricks!
Now, onto the Onvif camera integration. I recently set up a new feature for preload streams, and it worked out of the box with my camera. It was so fast and smooth, and I could see a different player interface with start/stop buttons. But then, out of the blue, it stopped working. Now I’m back to the old player, and I have to wait for the stream to load. I haven’t changed any configuration, so I’m a bit puzzled. Has anyone experienced something similar? Any ideas on what might be causing this?
I’m also curious about others’ experiences with MQTT integration for devices like the OpenTherm Gateway. I’ve heard great things about it, and I’m considering giving it a try for my home heating system. If anyone has implemented this, I’d love to hear about your setup and any challenges you faced!
Overall, I’m really enjoying the flexibility and customization that Home Assistant offers. It’s such a powerful tool for creating a smart home ecosystem. I’m looking forward to continuing my journey and learning more from the amazing community here!
Thanks for reading, and I hope this post sparks some helpful discussions!
Best regards,
