Hi everyone! I wanted to share my recent experience with the RGBIC LED Strip under my kitchen island. It’s been a fantastic addition to my home, and I thought I’d walk you through my setup and some tips I’ve learned along the way.
First off, I chose this strip because of its length—6.56 feet. My kitchen island is about 6 feet long, so it was a perfect fit without needing to cut or bend the strip, which I knew could be a hassle. Plus, the USB connector made it easier to hide the extension cord compared to traditional 12V strips. I’ve included some pictures in my post to show how it turned out!
One thing I was concerned about was the electrical outlets. When we designed our kitchen years ago, we only installed one outlet on one side, which was behind the wine fridge. Running a USB extension cord was the solution, and it worked out seamlessly. The strip comes with clips, which made securing it a breeze.
I’ve been using this strip for a few weeks now, and it’s been nothing but reliable. The RGBIC feature allows me to set the color temperature to match my mood or the time of day, which is a huge plus. I’ve also noticed how it enhances the overall ambiance of the kitchen, especially during meals or when entertaining guests.
If you’re considering something similar, I’d recommend checking the length of your space first to avoid unnecessary cuts. Also, think about where you’ll run the extension cord or power source—it makes a big difference in how clean the setup looks.
Overall, I’m thrilled with how this project turned out. It’s a simple yet effective way to improve the lighting in my kitchen. If you have any questions or want to share your own LED strip projects, feel free to drop a comment below! Happy DIY-ing! ![]()
