Hi everyone! I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my Ring Security System with Hubitat to enhance my home automation setup. I currently have a few Ring devices, including motion sensors and a keypad, but I’m eager to take things to the next level by connecting them to my Hubitat hub.
I’ve heard that integrating third-party devices like Ring can sometimes be a bit tricky, but I’m determined to figure this out. My main goal is to be able to monitor the status of my Ring sensors directly through Hubitat and trigger routines based on their readings. For example, I’d love to have the lights turn on automatically if a motion sensor detects movement outside, especially during the night.
I’ve started by looking into the Hubitat Connect app, which I believe is the key to bridging the gap between Ring and Hubitat. I’m also exploring the possibility of using IFTTT or other automation platforms as intermediaries if needed. However, I’m hoping to find a more seamless solution that doesn’t require multiple steps or third-party integrations.
