I recently purchased the Schlage deadbolt and a Vera 3 hub, and I must say, the initial setup was quite smooth. However, I encountered an unexpected issue where the lock consistently showed as unlocked, despite being properly configured. After some research, I discovered that adjusting the Vera 3’s device data ID might resolve the problem. Unfortunately, this option wasn’t available in my Vera 3 interface. I tried creating a new service and device data ID, but the lock still threw an error and didn’t respond as expected. The Vera 3 firmware was up to date, and other devices were functioning without issues. Batteries were fresh, so that wasn’t the problem either. This was puzzling, but I remained optimistic and continued troubleshooting. I reached out to the community for advice, and it was reassuring to see others had encountered similar issues. While I haven’t fully resolved it yet, the support I’ve received from this forum has been invaluable. I’m confident that with some more tinkering, I’ll get everything working seamlessly.
