After researching various options, I decided on the Schlage Connect models, and I must say, they’ve been a game-changer for my daily routine. On a couple of occasions, both locally and via the cloud, I noticed that the dashboard would freeze when I tried to lock or unlock the doors. The interface would just hang, and I’d have to refresh it manually. It was a bit frustrating, but I managed to work around it by using the mobile app instead. I’m curious if anyone else has faced similar issues or has suggestions on how to resolve this permanently.Another topic I’d love to discuss is network reliability, especially for those of us who rely heavily on home automation. My current setup uses an older TP-Link router and WAPs, which have been mostly reliable but occasionally drop connections. I’m considering upgrading to a mesh system to ensure more consistent coverage throughout my home. Have any of you tried mesh Wi-Fi solutions? I’d appreciate hearing about your experiences and any recommendations you might have.Lastly, I’d like to touch on the importance of battery backups for monitoring hubs. As someone who recently experienced a power outage, I was surprised to find that my hub didn’t kick in as expected. It made me realize how crucial it is to have a reliable backup system in place.
