Integrating Shelly and Nuki for Seamless Door Access

Hi everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating a Shelly Plus and Nuki opener with my existing Byron 7770 system. This setup has been a game-changer for my smart home, and I’m excited to walk you through how I made it work!

I’ve been using the Byron 7770 for a while now, but I’ve always wanted to add more functionality, like remote access and integration with my smart home ecosystem. After some research, I decided to connect a Shelly Plus and Nuki opener to the system. The goal was to control my door lock seamlessly through my smartphone or voice commands.

The Challenge
At first, I wasn’t sure how to wire everything properly. The Byron 7770 sends 8V signals to each apartment, and I needed to ensure the Shelly and Nuki devices could communicate without interfering with the existing setup. I spent a lot of time researching online forums and reaching out to the community for advice.

The Solution
After some trial and error, I discovered that the wiring needed to be adjusted to accommodate both the Shelly and Nuki devices. I created a junction where the 8V signals from the Byron 7770 could power both devices without causing any conflicts. This setup allowed me to control the lock directly from my phone using the Nuki app and integrate it with my smart home system using the Shelly Plus.

The Outcome
The result has been fantastic! I can now lock and unlock my door remotely, set up automatic routines, and even monitor the lock’s status in real-time. This integration has added a whole new level of convenience to my home, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

If anyone else is looking to integrate similar devices, I’d recommend starting with a clear understanding of your existing wiring and taking it one step at a time. Don’t hesitate to reach out to the community for help—it’s a fantastic resource!

Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps someone out there!
