I’ve been using my router, a Telekom Speedport, to manage everything, but it occasionally crashes. I’ve heard that using a bridge or access point could help stabilize my setup, but I’m not sure which one to go with. If anyone has recommendations or tips on how to set this up properly, I’d really appreciate the advice!
On another note, I’ve been experimenting with creating scenes using my ELK alarm system and Schlage door lock. My goal is to have the alarm arm when I lock the door and disarm when I unlock it, with the foyer light turning on as I come in. However, I’m running into issues with the Schlage button triggering both the arm and disarm scenes simultaneously. I’ve been using a pin code entry as the trigger, but it’s causing conflicts. Does anyone have a workaround or a different trigger method that could solve this problem?
I’d also love to hear about anyone’s experiences with setting up similar scenes or integrating different brands of smart home devices.
