I’ve been diving into the world of smart home automation, and I must say, it’s been an incredible journey! One of the highlights has been integrating my Shelly Plus Plug S with Homematic. Initially, I was thrilled to see that the device showed up in Homematic, displaying its on/off status and other relevant data. However, the real challenge was getting Homematic to control the Shelly device, not just monitor it. After some research, I followed the guide from GitHub to set up the necessary configurations. Despite my best efforts, it just wouldn’t work as expected. Frustration set in, but I refused to give up. I meticulously reviewed each setting, double-checking the command topics, payloads, and feedback topics. Finally, after what felt like endless tweaking, it clicked! The Shelly Plug S now responds seamlessly to commands from Homematic. This experience taught me the importance of persistence and thorough troubleshooting in smart home setups. It’s moments like these that make the learning curve worthwhile. I’m now inspired to explore more integrations and automation possibilities with my devices. Happy tinkering everyone!
