Hi everyone, I’m really excited about diving into the world of smart home integration! I’ve recently started my journey by setting up a mix of devices from different brands, and I wanted to share my experiences and ask for some advice.
First off, I’ve been using Schneider Electric’s PM5500 Power Meter for monitoring energy usage, and it’s been a great addition. I was able to locate the declaration on their website, but I’m curious if anyone has experience with getting the full test report from an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited lab. It would be awesome if the community could share insights on that!
Moving on to lighting, I’ve been experimenting with Govee LED strips and their Hexa Pro LED Panels. The setup process was smooth, but I noticed that the brightness of the newer energy-efficient models doesn’t quite match the older ones. I’d love to hear if others have found ways to maximize brightness or if there are workarounds for this. The app’s DIY section is pretty cool, but I’m still hoping for more customization options, like controlling each side of the cube individually.
Another area I’m exploring is integrating devices from IHost into Home Assistant. I’ve got a variety of sensors and switches on IHost, but I’m struggling to find a seamless way to bring them all into HA. Has anyone successfully done this or found a reliable workaround?
Lastly, I’m really impressed with how Schelly devices handle multiple light sources and switches. I’ve been using them to control both lamps and outlets, and it’s been a breeze. I’m curious if others have similar setups or if there are tips for optimizing their performance.
Overall, I’m thrilled with how far I’ve come in creating a connected home, but there’s always more to learn and improve. I’d love to hear your experiences, tips, and tricks for making the most out of your smart home setup! Let’s keep the conversation going and help each other navigate this exciting journey. ![]()
