Tips for Integration:
- Reset Devices Properly: Always perform a factory reset on devices before adding them to a new hub. This ensures a clean slate and avoids configuration conflicts.
- Check Compatibility: Verify if the device is compatible with your hub before purchasing. The Hubitat community forums have been invaluable in identifying compatible devices.
- Leverage Custom Drivers: If a device isn’t natively supported, look for custom drivers created by the community. They can often bridge the gap and enhance functionality.
- Network Configuration: Ensure your ZigBee network is optimized. Changing channels and avoiding interference can significantly improve device performance.
