I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with the community. First, I’ve been considering upgrading my network to UniFi, but I’m a bit nervous about how it will interact with my existing Home Assistant setup, especially with my Tasmota devices. I’ve heard great things about UniFi, but I’m not entirely sure how the transition will go. Will I need to start from scratch with my Tasmota devices, or can I smoothly transition them to the new network? Any advice would be appreciated!
On another note, I’ve been exploring solar and battery backup solutions for my home. I’m really interested in integrating this with Home Assistant to track energy usage and create some powerful automations. However, I’m not entirely sure where to start. Are there specific products that work well with Home Assistant? And how can I ensure that the salespeople understand what I’m looking for in terms of compatibility? I’d love to hear about others’ setups and any recommendations they might have.
Lastly, I’ve been dealing with some stability issues with my Shelly devices. Specifically, the timers and weekly timers on my Shelly RGBW2 units have been giving me a hard time. I keep getting error messages like ‘Timer: Error - Status not changed!’ It’s frustrating because other Shelly devices work perfectly fine. Has anyone else encountered this issue, and if so, how did you resolve it? I’m really hoping to get this figured out so I can fully enjoy the convenience these devices offer.
Overall, I’m excited about the possibilities that smart home technology offers, but there’s definitely a learning curve. I’m grateful for communities like this where I can share experiences and learn from others. Thanks in advance for any insights or advice you can share!
