Integrating Smart Devices for a Smoother Home Experience

Hi everyone, I’ve been diving into the world of smart home integration lately, and I wanted to share some of my experiences and questions with you all.

First off, I’ve been trying to get my Plugwise Anna thermostat to work seamlessly with my Homey device. Unfortunately, after the last update, the connection dropped, and I can’t seem to get it back. I’ve tried resetting both devices, reinstalling, and even checking the network settings, but nothing seems to work. The thermostat itself still has internet access, as I can connect via my PC, but it’s just not communicating with Homey. If anyone has any tips or tricks, I’d be super grateful!

On another note, I’ve been exploring ways to automate my home even further. Specifically, I’m trying to set up a rule that triggers on the first day of every month and year at midnight. I know cron jobs are an option, but I’m curious if there’s a more straightforward way within the platform itself. Any suggestions would be fantastic! :bulb:

I also wanted to touch on a project I’ve been working on with my home’s heating system. I have several radiator valves controlled by smart thermostats, all set to the same schedule. However, when I manually adjust the thermostat temperature, the radiators don’t seem to react as I’d like. Is there a way to make this adjustment more seamless? Maybe through some kind of rule or integration? I’m really curious to hear how others handle this! :wrench:

Lastly, I’ve been thinking about how to improve my home’s security system. I currently use motion sensors and cameras, but I’m looking into integrating more advanced features, like acoustic alarms and more noticeable notifications on my phone. If anyone has experience with setting up a more robust alarm system using HomeMatic or similar platforms, I’d love to hear about your setups and any tips you might have! :rotating_light:

Overall, I’m really enjoying the journey of making my home smarter, but there’s always more to learn and improve. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts and experiences! Let’s keep the conversation going! :rocket:
