I recently started exploring the integration of Smart Life devices into my Home Assistant setup, and I must say, it’s been quite an adventure! 
I have two locations set up, and while the Smart Life integration works seamlessly for most of my devices, I’ve encountered a small hiccup when it comes to specifying which ‘home’ or location these devices should be assigned to. 
Initially, I thought it might be a straightforward process—maybe a simple drop-down menu or a setting within the integration itself. However, after some digging through the documentation and forums, I realized that it’s not as direct as I hoped. This got me thinking: is there a way to manually assign these devices to a specific location, or perhaps a workaround within the Smart Life integration to achieve this? 
I decided to give it a shot by adjusting the configuration in my configuration.yaml file. I added a custom script that checks the location of each device and assigns it accordingly. While it wasn’t perfect on the first try, after a bit of tweaking and testing, I managed to get it working! 
This experience taught me the importance of diving into the configuration files and not being afraid to experiment.
