I’ve been exploring ways to integrate my smart lighting system with my home security setup, and I wanted to share my experiences and some tips I’ve picked up along the way. 
First, I started by looking into how my motion sensors could work seamlessly with my Hue lights. I set up a rule where the lights turn on at 80% brightness when motion is detected, but I ran into an issue where the lights would increase in brightness even if they were already on. After some research, I found that adjusting the rule to only trigger if the lights are off solved the problem! It’s such a small tweak, but it makes a big difference in energy efficiency. 
Another thing I’ve been experimenting with is using my smart lights to create scenes that enhance my home’s security. For instance, when I arm my security system, I set it up to automatically turn off certain lights and activate a dimmer setting on others. This not only creates a more secure environment but also adds a layer of energy savings.
