Integrating Smart Plugs and Microwave Ovens with Ezlo Plus Controller

I’ve been exploring the use of smart plugs to monitor the energy consumption of various appliances with the Ezlo Plus controller. It’s been an enlightening journey, but not without its challenges. One particular issue I’ve encountered is with microwave ovens overloading the smart switches. I’ve tried both the Aeotec Smart Switch 7 and the Zooz Z-Wave Plus Power Switch, but unfortunately, they both struggle with high-power microwaves. While the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 doesn’t overload, it fails to report power usage when paired with the Ezlo Plus controller. This inconsistency is puzzling and a bit frustrating.

However, I’ve also had some successes. For instance, I’ve managed to integrate a Fibaro FGK-101 Temperature & Door/Window sensor with my SmartThings setup to monitor an old freezer. Initially, it was a bit of a hurdle, but with some digging and tweaking, I got it working seamlessly. I even added a temperature offset option and color-coded alerts for better visibility. It’s been running smoothly for over two weeks now, and I feel confident in sharing the solution with others who might be facing similar issues.

Another area I’ve been exploring is the automation of my garage door and outdoor shades using Somfy technology. While the system has been reliable, I’ve noticed some quirks with scheduling and device integration post-upgrade. I’m eager to hear from others who might have encountered similar challenges and found innovative solutions.

Overall, the journey into智能家居 has been both rewarding and challenging. Each problem solved brings a sense of accomplishment, and every obstacle overcome strengthens my understanding of the system. I’m excited to continue learning and sharing my experiences with the community.
