Hi everyone, I’ve been exploring ways to enhance my home security system using smart plugs and motion sensors. I recently purchased some smart plugs from AliExpress and paired them with Homey, which has worked surprisingly well. However, I’ve noticed an issue where the plugs occasionally turn off without any apparent reason, even when set to ‘always on’ with child locks enabled. Does anyone have insights or solutions for this?
On another note, I’ve been using motion sensors to detect activity around my property. While they’re effective, I’m curious about integrating them with a chime system for notifications. I’ve heard about using dry contact sensors to trigger sounds, but I’m not sure about the best setup. Any recommendations or experiences to share would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, I’ve been experimenting with automating my vacuum cleaners using Google Home and Homey. It would be fantastic to trigger them based on my departure from the house rather than fixed schedules. If anyone has successfully integrated similar systems or knows of workarounds, I’d love to hear about it.
