Hi everyone, I’m really excited to share my recent experience with integrating a Funk-Heizkörperthermostat HM-CC-RT-DN and a Funk-Fernbedienung HM-RC-19-B without the need for a central control unit. I’ve been exploring how to streamline my heating system and make it more energy-efficient, and this setup has been a game-changer for me!
My Journey
I started by researching how to control my thermostat directly via the remote. I came across some conflicting information about whether the Comfort- and Eco-Temperatures mentioned in the manual were the same as the Comfort- and Absenktemperatur settings. After some trial and error, I realized they are indeed the same! This was a relief because it simplified my setup process.
Setting Up the Automation
I wanted to create a simple automation where I could switch the thermostat from a lower temperature (like when I’m away) to a more comfortable temperature with just a button press on the remote. Here’s how I did it:
