Recently, I embarked on a journey to integrate my Google Nest thermostat with my condo’s HVAC system. The process was quite a learning curve, but I’m thrilled to share my success story.
I started by researching the wiring requirements for connecting the Nest to my existing Unilux-style thermostat. The terminals on my thermostat were a bit confusing, especially the Rs, Sc, SB, and PS terminals. After some digging, I realized that these terminals are used for advanced functionalities like fan speed control and heat pump management. While they weren’t essential for basic operation, I decided to map them correctly to ensure everything worked seamlessly.

One user mentioned that leaving these terminals disconnected wouldn’t harm the system, but I wanted to ensure all features were functional. I ended up using jumpers to connect the necessary terminals and programmed the Nest to handle fan speeds and heat pump modes.
