Hello everyone, I wanted to share my recent experience integrating my Smartthings hub with LIFX mini color lights. It’s been a fascinating journey, and I hope my insights can help others who are exploring similar setups.
Initially, I was thrilled when everything worked seamlessly upon setup. The Smartthings Classic app allowed me to create automations using the Smart Lights Smartapp, which was perfect for my needs. However, things took an unexpected turn after a recent move, where I had to disconnect and reconnect my devices. Unfortunately, the automations stopped working, even though I could still manually control the lights through both the LIFX and Smartthings apps.
I spent considerable time troubleshooting, trying everything from reconfiguring the automations to resetting the devices. The frustration was real, especially since the motion sensors were detecting activity but failing to trigger the lights. It was like having a well-rehearsed play where the curtain wouldn’t open!
