Integrating SmartThings with Alexa: A User's Experience

Hey everyone! I wanted to share my experience with integrating my SmartThings hub with Alexa. I’ve been using a Fibaro dimmer (FGD212) for a while now, and it’s been working perfectly on its own. However, when I tried to connect it with Alexa, I was a bit puzzled because it didn’t show up in my Alexa devices list. After some research and tinkering, I finally got it to work! It was a great feeling when I could control my lights with voice commands. If anyone else is having trouble with device integration, feel free to ask—I’d be happy to help out!

I also wanted to mention how impressed I am with the Govee Smart Dehumidifier. It’s been a game-changer for keeping my basement dry. The integration with Alexa and Google Home is seamless, and the energy efficiency is fantastic. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re in the market for a dehumidifier!

On another note, I’ve been exploring the use of 3D-printed light projects around my home. While I haven’t used Govee for these, I’ve found some really cool designs that add a unique touch to my space. It’s amazing how technology and creativity can come together to enhance our living environments.

Lastly, I’m curious if anyone else has tried scheduling smart devices based on sunrise or sunset times. I’d love to set my lights to turn on a couple of hours before sunset, but I haven’t found a straightforward way to do this yet. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Overall, it’s been a great journey exploring the world of smart home technology. The community here is fantastic, and I’m always learning something new. Thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences and expertise!
